Respiratory Therapist Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:
People in this field treat those who have respiratory problems that are chronic or developed. They help a variety of age groups ranging from babies with undeveloped lungs and older people who have diseased lungs.

Salary:
$55,870 per year
$26.86 per hour

Education:
People in this field need an associate’s degree but employers prefer those who have a bachelor’s degree. Many colleges and universities, vocational–technical institutes, and the Armed Forces offer education and training programs. Many states have a license procedure that includes passing an exam.

I would like to work in this field because I myself am familiar with these kinds of problems.

Thoracic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities:
A thoracic surgeon performs heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest. The thoracic surgeon is responsible for all anesthesia, and cutting open and stitching of the patient. The thoracic surgeon also prescribes medication for pain relief and a quick recovery.

Salary:
$101,736-$486,053

Education:
You need a completion of any four-year that meets the prerequisites needed to get into medical school, four years in medical school, five years in a surgical residency program, and two to three years of advanced training in cardiothoracic surgery.

I wouldn’t like to be one because malpractice can have really bad consequences.
