I think that the
ego and pride of the human spirit makes us underestimate the power of peer
pressure. As strong as our will is we are almost always inclined to fit in and
be well liked. Constant need of approval
from people who we consider superior fills us with hope that one day we can be
at the same level and go promptly beyond them. We want to surpass their status
in a social level and that’s why we sometimes associate ourselves with negative
company. They will influence us in a non-productive way. I rather be alone than
to surround myself with people who want to sway me to be involved in illegal
activities. Sometimes we need time to ourselves to self-meditate about our
choices.
