Duties and
Responsibilities:
The
Environmental Health Specialist/Sanitarian promotes individual and population
public health by providing their essential services. They inspect buildings,
collect water samples, test air and water quality, and promote social health. They
investigate complaints and health hazards and they collaborate to make things
safer for us.
Salary:
$50,000
Education:
Those who want
to pursue this career need a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental
Health or other related degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours of science. Also
needed are 2 years’ experience as an Environmental Health Practitioner or
equivalent preferred.
I would like to
work in this field because I want to make my city a better place to live in for
my children and future generations.
