Glenn Cunningham
Glenn Cunningham was
born in Atlanta, Kansas in 1909. He is considered by many the greatest American
miler of all time. He went through a tragedy turned miracle. His legs were
severely burned in a school fire at age 8. His brother who was then 13 died in
the fire. His legs and feet were destroyed. They wanted to cut off his legs but
his parents did not allow it. He was told her would never walk again. With a
large sum of faith and determination he learned to walk and eventually run with
a new kind of therapy. He competed in the summer Olympics of 1932 and 1936.and won many medals
and achievements.
