Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties of an occupational therapist include evaluating a patient's condition and needs, developing a treatment plan for patients, and laying out the types of activities and specific goals to be accomplished. They help people with various disabilities with different tasks, such as leading an autistic child in play activities. They demonstrate exercises—for example, joint stretches for arthritis relief—that can help relieve pain for people with chronic conditions. Educating a patient’s family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient is important. OP’s assess and record patients’ activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers
                                                                                  Salary:
$75,400 per year
$36.25 per hour
Education:
A master’s degree in occupational therapy is needed and also you need to pass a state examination. They also need to pass the NBCOT exam. Classes need to be taken to maintain certification.
I would like to be an occupational therapist because it doesn’t seem like an unimaginable workload and it pays well.
