I think that what this means is that polite words are very powerful. They radiate kindness if that’s what your intention is. We all need support and encouragement when the going gets tough. If I feel like I can no longer go on then the support of family and friends will mean that much more to me. If people believe in me when I can longer believe in myself then it can give me the strength to go on.
