Duties and Responsibilities:
Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the
treatment of eye diseases and disorders.
They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for eyeglasses. When
necessary, they perform eye surgery.
They can work in hospitals, clinics, or have a private practice.
Average Salary:
$90,000 - $150,000
Educational Requirements:
Only physicians may study to become ophthamologists. After completing medical school and an
internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year
residency in an approved ophthalmology program.
After they must pass an exam.
I think I might not want to pursue this career because it takes too long and I want something that can get me a steady job quicker.
