I think
that this means that the most reliable thing that will take you to what you
want is to always try and never give up. Many men are talented, have great
education, and are genius but do not succeed because they don’t try. Persistence
is one and only. Nothing can replace it. You can’t go around it. If you want to
achieve things you need to persist. You can have the skills but it doesn’t
really matter if you don’t do anything with them. If I want to become an actress, I will take small parts and even get pie thrown at my face. Lucille Ball style (;
