Pharmacy
technicians work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and
perform many pharmacy-related functions. They refer any questions regarding
prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist.
Salary: $29,000
Education:
Students
should take math, science with a focus on chemistry and typing courses in high
school.
A high
school diploma is usually required to begin pharmacy technician training. Two year courses leading to certificates are
available at most community colleges.
Six month programs are offered at privately operated schools.
